Hey Vern,
You have a water test kit now don't you? Do you have before and after measurements of various methods you have tried to remove water? It would be great if you could post a bit of what you have tested. There are so many variables it is pretty hard to get a complete picture but as far as people I know, you guys up there are doing the most about it.

Concerning venting the centrifuge: I think this will prove to be the most effective/efficient method as you are only heating a small amount once and the centrifuge will offer an amount of atomization of the oil further promoting the release of the oil.

As I noted earlier, the centrifuge in operation, provides a natural air pump. The rotating air (low pressure) draws in ambient air and is then exhausted through the center port where the air is not moving (high pressure). You will need to duct this exhaust to a condenser (bucket)because there will be an amount of oil mist with the water vapor and it would certainly make a mess if uncontrolled.

Hello Leon!

Yes, I can post some of our findings with the dewatering 'vat'
We use a sandy Brea water test kit, and have found large differences between the
lots (totes). It seems we can drop the water by at least 50% (in the summer)
and much less with more energy in the winter.

Thanks for the info on venting the centrifuge. We will keep experimenting and let you know our findings.

On another note, do you have any re programming info for the new vfd controller?

I have the two extra top ports on my CF vented. I simply used two 3/4" fitting and two short pieces of 3/4" clear braided line. The lines just curve up out of the CF lid and into a cubie sitting to the rear of the CF. There's a picture Leon posted of my setup in the centrifuge picture gallery - shows my monster pump, elevated barrel and the CF. You can see the lines - may be easier that way than my feeble description.
