Legal Collecting

Depending on your state, there are legal constraints for collecting, transporting and storing WVO. I recommend that you know the laws before you begin transporting and using WVO. Check your local laws, call your local installer or kit-maker for more information. You can also search the WVO forums for terms like “Kansas Laws”

In California, it is illegal to carry over 15 gallons of WVO. To legally haul more than 15 gallons you would need a special Transport License along with an insurance bond.

It varies by state.

Some Restaurants will want you to have a collection license before you collect from them.
