Monster Gear Pump V2

I need to pry myself away from the bench to write a bit about the latest product that we have released. The Monster Gear Pump V2!

A little background on the Monster Gear Pump: When I got started with veggie oil I purchased a Redline Pump, at the time they were still using a belt and required grease on the pulley every couple hours to keep it from seizing. On top of that, I was only getting about 5gpm through 30feet of .75″ hose so a full 275Gallon tote took an hour to transfer. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the little pump and Redline has gone away from the belt solving the lubrication/seizing issue. My issue was that the pump head (actually the oil pump off a small block GM) was just too small for my purposes, it has small porting at odd angles thus limiting the flow capacity. People have modified it extensively to suit their needs (check out this thread) but I felt that I needed to provide a more robust and clean solution.

What I came up with was the Monster Gear Pump. Close coupled, strait flow, large porting, huge gears and 25gpm. I have quietly sold these for the past two years in limited numbers and have confirmed that that pump head is awesome, some people have even coupled it to small gas engines and have achieved over 35gpm with the extra rpm. (watch for a kit to do this) The only weak link in this was the motor, though quite extremely powerful, was not really continuous duty and did not have thermal protection so some motors that were worked hard in cold weather (typically with motor oil) bit the biscuit. Of course I warrantied them but to me failures are design problems that need to be fixed.

So, I went to work with my partner Baldor to make a Custom motor for this application and now we have a continuous industrial duty, thermally protected motor for this application. Along with that, I am releasing a smaller more versatile version at 15gpm that runs on 3/4″-1″ID hose hose. (Just try to fill your vehicle with 1.25″ hose at 25gpm!)

So, if you are looking for the ultimate self priming pump for oil collection and transfer: Check out the new lineup.

I am so confident in this product I am offering it with a 30 day Money Back Guarantee and a 5 year warranty. Its that good.

Are these weatherproof? Can they be left outside in the rain?

    Hi,

I m looking for a pump for our WVO filtering system.
Could you take a look and email me back with the pump specs needed for our system?
Here is an overview of our system:

I am totally in to this concept. Where do I speak with someone about a purchase? On another note, does anyone have a comprehensive list of pump types. I have several applications that I need to investigate. I found this pump types guide, but I am looking for a bit more information, especially with rotary pumps.
